Conserve Well Water by Harvesting Rainwater and Recycling Greywater

Greywater harvesting can ease the pressure on well water usage for rural businesses, such as RV parks and hunting lodges. As you might already know, greywater is the wastewater from sinks and showers. By harvesting and purifying greywater, it can be recycled to water landscaping and gardens. It can also be used to rinse water at an RV dump station.

By purifying harvested greywater, you can save thousands of gallons of water every year. Your well water can be reserved as drinking and wash water for your guests.

But, greywater obviously has contaminants that must be removed for it to be safe for plants and the environment. A greywater harvesting system that includes filtration down to 0.02 microns removes not only solids but also viruses and bacteria. Add ultraviolet light as a sanitation method, and your greywater comes out extremely clean.

Commercial greywater systems can handle anywhere from 2,000 gallons up to 200,000 gallons daily. They require very little maintenance and will process and purify your greywater around the clock. The clean water is stored in a tank, ready for reuse.

Around the world, clean water is becoming a valuable commodity. As water tables drop, wells can become depleted. If your business relies on well water, you know how precarious the situation can be. You can reduce that risk by not only harvesting and recycling greywater, but also by harvesting rainwater. Robust commercial systems are available to do both.
